Outside of the MMG camp, Nipsey has teamed up with fellow California radio personality DJ Skee.

According to DJ Skee, the two have had respect for one another since they first met and the team up will allow them to bring together their respective followers to create a larger impact on the Internet than they could achieve individually. “The big announcement that we talking about today is that DJ Skee and Neighborhood Nip teaming up. We connected our movements. It’s 2012 and we saw the artists that have been successful recently. Most of them built up their Internet base ahead of time and took advantage of the Internet and the new media and so, I think that what you’ve got going, Skee, is the perfect platform for artists like myself,” Nipsey explained. The partnership will see Nipsey link his All Money In Entertainment with Skee’s eponymous website and the DJ will now be responsible for licensing, partnership development, marketing deals and management of Hussle and his brand. On day of Whitney Houston's funeral, Newark gang leaders call for a one day truce

Whitney Houston wake photos: Mourners arrive for viewing
NEWARK
 — Whitney Houston's funeral has inspired several of Newark's gang leaders to call for a day of calm today to honor the Brick City-born pop queen.

The push started after Hykine Johnson — a former high-ranking member of the Sex, Money, Murder Bloods who is better known around Newark by his street handle “HAK” — published a Facebook post Wednesday night, calling for citywide peace on the day of Houston's services at the New Hope Baptist Church.

"If anyone out there is gang banging lets show Whitney Houston respect by commiting no crimes on saturday ......No shootings No robbing No car jacking basically no crazy (stuff) let us show some respect she helped alot of people in Nj lets show lov," wrote Johnson, who now works as an author and filmmaker, publishing works intended to show young people the perils of gang life in the city.

Johnson’s message quickly circulated throughout the street community, largely among city and gang leaders connected to the Bloods. While Newark is home to a wide array of street gangs, the Bloods make up the majority of the city's gang populace.

Early Friday morning, an influential member of the large Mob PIRU Bloods set promised her crew's members would fall in line with the call for peace.

"We can guarantee there won’t be any violence from our end, and we just wanted to let him know we’re supporting this," said Jada, a "Big Sis" with MOB PIRU and founder of the non-profit group Nine Women Strong. "I intend on speaking to a couple of the other brothers from the other sets this evening. I believe that it’s gonna be a real quiet day in Newark.”

Jada asked that her name be withheld.

A member of the 135PIRUML Bloods, who asked to only be identified as Jiwe, said he would reach out to contacts in various gang sets to push the call for calm. While he acknowledged it's an unrealistic hope, Jiwe said it shouldn't take the death of a pop star to stymie the bloodshed in Newark.

"I wish we could do it every damn day, but I’m gonna send the word out to some cats on the street, they should really kick up hoping that nothing’s gonna happen," said Jiwe, whose mother attended New Hope Baptist Church with the Houstons. "I’ll send the word out. It’s crazy that something like this would get us to even do something like this, because obviously what you want is for generally nothing to happen.”

Johnson said he's received calls from several other gang leaders who said they agreed with the sentiment of his Wednesday night Facebook post.

“Whitney Houston did a lot for the community, so I feel as though everybody owes her this at least," he said. "I don’t condone the violence any other days, but that day right there ... If I’m ready to step up, all the other leaders should be ready to step up.”

Westboro Baptist Church released Anti-Whitney Houston song called "God Will Always Hate You"

TOPEKA, Kan. (CBS St. Louis) – The Westboro Baptist Church, a controversial religious group infamous for protesting military funerals and organizations sympathetic to homosexual rights, has just released a parody of Whitney Houston’s classic cover, “I Will Always Love You,” which implies that the singer is now in hell.

“If you had obeyed, you would not be in those flames,” begins the song called “I Will Always Hate You,” performed by a singer whose voice is not unlike that of the deceased musician. “Now you know that it’s so, God hated you, every step of the way.”

The church also plans to protest Houston’s funeral, scheduled to be held tomorrow in her hometown of Newark, N.J. Nearly 1,500 guests are expected to attend, including Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey, Dionne Warwick and Aretha Franklin.

According to a PDF document on its official website, the Westboro church is protesting Houston’s funeral because of her drug use and status as a gay icon.

“God gave Whitney Houston a beautiful singing voice and a world-wide platform, which she should have used to encourage obedience to His Word and warn the  wicked that their rebellion brings destruction from the hand of God,” the release states. “Instead, she used her talent to glorify herself, engage in sorceries [sic] … and cosy [sic] up to perverse (gays).”

Houston passed away on Feb. 11 of undetermined causes. She was found submerged in the bathtub in her Beverly Hilton Hotel room with several bottles of prescription pills reportedly located near her body.

In addition to “I Will Always Love You,” originally performed by country crooner Dolly Parton, Houston was also well-known for lending her booming voice to hits such as “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” “The Greatest Love of All,” and a stirring rendition of the Star-Spangled Banner performed at the 1991 Super Bowl.
